Canadian Exotic Grains Ltd.

Introduction and Overview

​On July 17, 2018, Canadian Exotic Grains Ltd. (“CEG”) filed a Notice to Creditors of Intention to make a proposal pursuant to Subsection 50.4(6) of the Bankruptcy and Insolvency Act.  Information regarding the proceedings can be found below. 

On August 8, 2018, a Court hearing was held in Saskatoon at which the Court granted an Order extending the time for CEG to file a proposal to September 28, 2018, amongst other relief.

On September 27, 2018, a Court hearing was held in Saskatoon at which the Court granted an Order extending the time for CEG to file a proposal to November 12, 2018. 

On November 8, 2018, a Court hearing was held in Saskatoon at which the Court granted a Sale Approval and Vesting Order over substantially all of CEG’s assets.

CEG was deemed bankrupt on November 13, 2018.  The first meeting of creditors was held on November 30, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at the Regina Office of Deloitte Restructuring Inc., 2103 11th Avenue Mezzanine Level, Regina, Saskatchewan.

On November 6, 2019, Deloitte was discharged as Licensed Insolvency Trustee in the Bankruptcy of CEG.
