On October 21, 2019, Accel Canada Holdings Limited and Accel Energy Canada Limited (the "Companies") each filed a Notice of Intention to Make a Proposal (the "NOIs") pursuant to Section 50.4(1) of the Bankruptcy and Insolvency Act (the "BIA").  Subsequently on October 24, 2019, a related entity, Accel Canada Holdings GP Limited filed a Notice of Intention to Make a Proposal.

Pursuant to Section 69(1) of the BIA, all proceedings against the Companies are now stayed and service to the Companies cannot be discontinued. 

Effective November 7, 2019, PricewaterhouseCoopers Inc. ("PWC") substituted Deloitte Restructuring Inc. as the Proposal Trustee for Accel Energy Canada Limited and Accel Canada Holdings Limited.

Subsequently on November 25, 2019, Accel Canada Holdings GP Limited was deemed to have made an assignment in bankruptcy and Deloitte Restructuring Inc. (“Deloitte”) was appointed as Trustee of the estate of the bankrupt. 

Deloitte obtained its discharge as Trustee of Accel Canada Holdings GP Limited on September 20, 2021.
