On August 4, 2016, Maple Financial Group Inc (“MFGI”) filed an assignment in bankruptcy pursuant to section 49 of the Bankruptcy and Insolvency Act, R.S.C 1985. c. B-31. Deloitte was appointed as Trustee of the estate of MFGI by the Office of the Superintendent of Bankruptcy Canada.
On April 5, 2017, Deloitte Restructuring Inc., in its capacity as Trustee in Bankruptcy of Maple Financial Group Inc. made an application for an Order pursuant to section 101 of the Courts of Justice Act, which appointed Deloitte Restructuring Inc. as receiver of all of the assets, undertakings and property of Maple Futures Corp.
