​​On April 25th, 2019 the Ontario Superior Court of Justice (Commercial List) issued an Order (the "Appointment Order") pursuant to section 243(1) of the Bankruptcy and Insolvency Act, R.S.C. 1985, c. B-3, as amended (the "BIA") and section 101 of the Courts of Justice Act, R.S.O. 1990, c. C.43, as amended, appointing Deloitte Restructuring Inc. as receiver (in such capacities, the "Receiver") without security, of all of the assets, undertakings and properties of Best Made Toys International, ULC including its affiliates Best Made Toys LLC, Best Made Toys Global Enterprises Limited, Best Made Toys Holding LLC (together, the "Debtors"), acquired for, or used in relation to a business carried on by the Debtors.

On December 21, 2022, the Receiver filed a Discharge Certificate with respect to the receivership. The Discharge Certificate was registered with the Court on January 4, 2023.  ​

Bankruptcy – Best Made Toys International, ULC

The April 25, 2019 Order appointing the Receiver permitted the Receiver to make an assignment in bankruptcy on behalf of any or all of the Debtors. The Receiver filed an assignment in bankruptcy for Best Made Toys International, ULC and the Office of the Superintendent of Bankruptcy issued a Certificate of Appointment of Deloitte Restructuring Inc. as trustee in bankruptcy of Best Made Toys International, ULC on December 20, 2019.
