May 10, 2012 – By Order of the Ontario Superior Court of Justice (Commercial List) (the “Court”) dated May 10, 2012, Deloitte & Touche Inc. was appointed as the receiver (the “Receiver”) of all of the assets, undertakings and properties of 2012241 Ontario Limited (the “Debtor”) acquired for, or used in relation to the business carried on by the Debtor, including but not limited to the municipal property known as 50 Sunny Meadow Circle in Brampton, Ontario (the "Property").
August 30, 2012 – By Order dated August 30, 2012, the Court granted the Receiver’s motion with respect to its proposed process of marketing and sale.
January 7, 2013 – By Order dated January 7, 2013, the Court granted the Receiver’s motion with respect to, among other things, the sale of the Property.
October 26, 2020 – The Receiver was discharged pursuant to an Order of the Court dated October 26, 2020.
There will be a significant shortfall to the primary secured lender on its advances to the Debtor, and accordingly, the Receiver is of the view that there will be no funds available for distribution to the other creditors of the Debtor.
