​​​​​​​On January 19, 2024, Deloitte Restructuring Inc. was appointed by the Court of King's Bench of Alberta as the receiver-manager (the "Receiver"), without security, of CatalX CTS Ltd. and Catalx Management Ltd. and all the current and future assets, undertakings and​​ properties of every nature and kind whatsoever, and wherever situate, including all proceeds thereof.

May 29, 2024 – Receiver's Update

The forensic investigation remains ongoing, and that all buying and trading activities through the CatalX platform remain suspended, and that no withdrawals or deposits can be made.  The preliminary findings of the forensic investigation has revealed a significant shortfall between the expected balance of customer assets and the actual amount held by CatalX at the date of receivership.  The shortfall is primarily due to unauthorized withdrawals from the CatalX Wallet to external, unauthorized wallets and crypto exchange accounts in the period May 2021 to the date of receivership.  The Receiver is presently unable to determine the recoverability of the shortfall.
